"The Maitreya Buddha Heart Shrine Relics"

'Maitreya' means "loving-kindness" in the ancient Sanskrit language.

Lama Zopa Rinpoche, the spiritual director of Maitreya Project has collected extraordinary relics of Buddhist masters and saints. This rare and precious collection was enshrined in temples, cathedrals, and monasteries all over the world for up to 2500 years, but until The Heart Shrine Relic Tour rarely available for public view. Traveling the U.S. and the world for six years these relics will be installed in the heart shrine (right where we see the lotus palm hand positioned) of Matrieya Buddha in India when the multi-purpose statue is completed.

A 500ft bronze statue of Maitreya Buddha--the manifestation of loving-kindness in carnate on earth in Northern India seen here has been designed to last for at least 1,000 years through this millennium into the next.

The intention of this undertaking is to bring as much benefit as possible, for as long as possible, so that loving-kindness will eventually arise in the hearts of all beings.
