Thoughts, feelings, and emotions shared here, made me realize how important it is to try to understand one another while we're still alive. Fortunate enough to remember my maternal grandmother and meet her mother at age five, this is a spectacular event even in the life of one whose family has always acknowledged what little we knew of our African Ancestry and provided for me to journey there as a young woman.
